The Chase is a show where you win money if you know the correct answer to a lot of multiple-topic questions. Not many contestants can achieve a high reward; even less can get a high win. However, Eden, a 20-year-old participant, did this and had one of the best performances in the show’s history on Tuesday.
Eden won an incredible £75,000 in a solo win, defeating Chaser Darragh Ennis, ending a six-month winning streak. He was the last of his team standing in the finals, making £3,000 in his cash builder. In the end, he tried to go to the highest offer of £75,000, managing to get back home and set up an incredible final in the last round.
How did this happen?
He managed to win £75,000 by answering 18 questions correctly without any flaws. Bradley was aware of his performance, declaring Eden the biggest ever solo winner in the show, breaking the last record. Before him, another contestant called Judith won £70,000 in 2019, being the highest record on the show.
Bradley told Eden: “I can’t believe it! This is incredible; he’s 20 years old and just won £75,000. It’s the single highest win in daytime history”. Quizzer Darragh congratulated him, saying, “You did very well; it was all about the pushbacks in the end”. However, many fans were unimpressed about this achievement thanks to the nature of some questions.
