Donnie Darko
As a cult film, Donnie Darko is well known, and it’s one of the greatest time travel films. The plot is very confusing, yet you can come around it. We don’t want to spoil the film, so we won’t mention much about the movie itself. However, we must say that here you will see one of the best performances done by Jake Gyllenhaal.
See You Yesterday
There are a lot of very well done Netflix’s originals, but this movie is one of a kind. This movie begins as a very light-hearted adventure, but as we keep watching it, both of our heroes get crushed. Eden Duncan-Smith and Danté Crichlow are a pair of kids that achieve time travel, from here, we will see the conflict that is born from personal choices and its consequence.
Palm Springs
This film was one of the best films in 2020, winning multiple prizes, and becoming a festival darling. Palm Springs is about a time loop that happened during a wedding in, well, Palm Springs, California. Even though it’s a comedy and feels like this, there is a lot more under the surface. We can’t describe this movie, so we recommend you watch it.
Back to the Future
As a timeless classic, we couldn’t miss this mention. You probably already watched it thousands of times but this film will never get old. Being the most famous franchise about time traveling and one of the best out there, you must watch it – or re-watch it – at least once in a while.
12 Monkeys
There are very light-hearted movies about time travel and there are movies like this one, which is full dystopian. No matter what you like, this is a must-watch. Not only Brad Pitt made one of his best performances in this film, the plot is so good you will need to repeat the movie.
