The prodigal son is returning to the team that saw him become a legend 12 years after being sold to Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo is closing in on a sensational return to Manchester United. The team made an official approach to Juventus and signed him instantly for a two-year deal. So now, officially, Cristiano is back with his old team for the next season.
Manchester City backed out of negotiations after Manchester United stepped up and made a deal. Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri confirmed that Ronaldo “no longer has any intention” of playing for the Italian giants. With that being said, Ronaldo jumped from one deal to another.
What does this mean for Juventus?
Solskajaer said, “If he ever wants to move away from Juventus, he knows we are here”. Also, added that the United could trump the negotiations with the City. Apparently, he admitted that midfielder Bruno Fernandes had been in touch with Ronaldo lately.
Manager Pep Guardiola also added about the Manchester City facing Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday. He said that “Cristiano is a Juventus player. I cannot add anything else”. However, Guardiola continues with, “In these three or four days left until the transfer windows shut. In my view, few players decided where they are going to play”. With this, we can be sure that he is leaving for good.
Juventus told Ronaldo they were willing to sell him during the transfer window if the deal met certain conditions. Finally, after many speculations and almost two done deals, Ronaldo is moving from the Italian legend. Allegri said that “Things change, it’s law of life. Juventus remains, which is the most important thing”.
