After the famous declarations from Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, Kristen Bell said that she did almost the thing that the couple does. This means that she doesn’t bathe her kids every day, and she waited until nature sends its message. She said everything about it during an interview on The View, where she and her husband said why they prefer to wait.
What do they say?
The couple said about both Delta and Lincoln that “we bathed our children every single night before bed as the routine, then somehow they just started going to sleep on their own without the routine”. This is what started the change of routine, they said “We had to start saying like, ‘Hey, when was the last time you bathed them’”.
Kristen said that she finds the solution thanks to nature. “The smell was the biology’s way of indicating it was time for a clean-up”. She also said, “I’m a big fan of waiting for the stink. Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up”.
Is that healthy?
Many doctors and pediatricians advise against washing a baby every day. Most of them say that “there’s no need to bath your newborn daily. Three times a week might be enough until your baby becomes more mobile. Bathing your baby too much can dry his or her skin”.
Also, the American Academy of Dermatology Association recommends that children from 6 to 11 just need to bathe “once or twice” a week. They said that you just need to wash them when they get dirty, after being in a pool, or when they get sweaty. This way you will guarantee that their natural skin oils won’t be washed.
