A legend has arisen and we feel the nostalgia crawling in our backs. The Nokia 6310 was the best phone you could get in simpler times. Not only it was the more advanced phone, but it also was slim, felt nice, and was small. And, if you are a 90s kid, you can remember how cellphones used to be bricks undercover.
However, HMD Global, the company that owns the Nokia brand, launched a modern remake of this classic. Most of this remake is just a joy for our nostalgia, because they are cheap, basic phones. Anyways, it’s almost like the original and it’s usable if you don’t expect it to be a tiny computer.
Everything we know about the changes
Overall, in terms of specs, the Nokia 6310 has a 2.8-inch display – bigger and curvier than the original. As you can expect, it has the classic numerical keypad, 8MB of RAM, and 16MB of Storage – it’s expandable. We could keep going with some other basic functions, but it has mostly the same ones as its classic counterpart.
On the bright side, the battery can last forever. It’s almost the same as the older version, which means one full battery can last two decades. Also, just like the original, you could break the world in half if you drop it on the floor hard enough. In other words, it hits all the right spots when it comes to functions and some overall aspects.
The design, however, isn’t that good if you wanted a more faithful remake. This new version has little to do with the original version, being a little more modern. The buttons, keypad, screen, and the color scheme is very different. In other words, doesn’t look like the older version but it still has the same old-time energies.
