People always tell you to go bananas and eat bananas if you want a healthy treat when you are doing exercise. Overall, they are healthy snacks and very nutritious fruit, but they can also be harmful. Too much of any good thing is bad for you, but you shouldn’t be scared of eating one or two per day.
Our bodies need many nutrients and vitamins to function and be healthy, and bananas have a lot of good stuff. In addition, this fruit can be especially good for you if you are working out, being a natural booster for muscles.
Are bananas really bad for you?
Well, if you overeat bananas in one day, more than 7, for example, your body won’t handle that. You could suffer constipation, allergies, or you could gain weight very fast if you abuse them. Another problem they could cause is unbalancing your natural body nutrients, which will make you sick eventually.
Bananas aren’t high in calories; however, they have more calories than your ordinary fruits. Therefore, eating too many bananas could make you gain weight instead of losing weight. You could also have difficulties controlling the sugar in your blood. Another digestive problem you could have is hard digestion because bananas aren’t easy to digest and might cause you cramps and gases.
Finally, too much sugar in your blood, combined with the gases and the cramps, can cause insomnia. Carbohydrates in bananas are said to block amino acids from entering the brain, which could boost serotonin and sleepiness. So, try to regulate how many bananas you eat in the day or before sleeping. With all of this being said, we aren’t telling you that you shouldn’t eat bananas; they’re healthy, but try to eat 1 to 3 per day.
