Before your eyes
Many indie titles give us a very creative, different approach to what a game should be. Before your eyes is a narrative-driven game, and its story is profound. We will recall the memories of an artist, all before he dies. There are many symbolists of this game, and we recommend you play it only you have enough time to pay good attention.
You won’t spend many hours playing it as many narrative-driven games, but it’s a very meaningful game. You will have to make many hard choices and, probably, you won’t be able to absorb every single memory.
Borderlands 3
Some shooters make you say, “Yeah, shooters, sure”, and there are shooters that will blow your mind. Borderlands 3 is the newest title of this saga, and it delivers what we expect from any Borderlands. If you never played any of these games before, please, you must. The whole saga is incredibly funny, and the gameplay is incredible.
You still can buy it for a fantastic price on steam, so you must try to get it ASAP. Overall, Borderlands is fueled by its dark humour and the crazy number of things you can kill in the whole words. Also, you can have a car and go full mad max on the map.
Dying Light
Horror games and survival games are like a drug. Even though Dying light is a survival game, it’s like a horror survival thanks to the horde of zombies that live in this post-apocalyptic universe. As any survival in a zombie apocalypse, you must scavenge for supplies, try to find survivors, and craft weapons. Unfortunately, the whole environment will be against you, and you will die a lot.
The overall difficulty of Dying Light is not as hard as any Souls, but it’s very challenging. Also, you will have thousands of hours of gameplay, so you won’t get bored in a couple of hours. This is an incredible game, and you must try it at least once.
Olija
2D action-platformers are very popular nowadays, and if you were aware of the steam summer sale date, you probably would get this. It isn’t a very expensive game, but the story, mystery, and everything you can do here are incredible. Here, you are Faraday, a lord that is trapped in a hostile unknown land.
As a classical “hero’s journey”, the story isn’t epic, but the mysteries and the lore will deliver. This means that you must read and pay attention if you want to know about the world you are trapped in. In other words, this is a very immersive game.
